New Zealand Experience
Upon returning from a recent trip to N.Z. to attend a squash reunion I thought my experiences would be worth a mention in the Horstmann newsletter.
At our get together on the Friday night Terry, a friend down from the North Island and staying with mutual friends Trevor and Linda, mentioned that Linda had been suffering from a crook back and was going to get me to give her a treatment. He had asked them, what I was doing but nobody could really explain what I had been doing since I had left the area just over two years previous.
“Alternative medicine, working in the fields of physio/energetic helping rather than healing, Reiki and The Horstmann Technique. These are the main modalities that I have been concentrating on and the results I have witnessed have been very interesting to say the least,” I said. “The work has taken me to Europe four times in the last 2 years and that for a boy from the bottom end of N.Z is something.” Terry was intrigued and asked if he could observe the treatment on Linda, admitting that he had a certain amount of scepticism, but was looking forward to the exercise.
Saturday 9a.m. and feeling as though I should be the person getting the treatment I started on Linda. A self-sabotage release, followed by an I.S.R. (Ileosacral Releas) - she came off the table a bit unsure of herself, but feeling better.
Terry, having observed, asked if I could do something for his shoulder, which at times seemed to cause his hand to cramp. He had been to “normal practitioners” with limited success. My response was, “Is the Pope a catholic,” so on to the table jumped my sceptical friend. An arm/shoulder release, 4 points only - an immediate result, a click and a flow of blood sensation down the affected arm.
I then administered a foot release, his left foot was reasonably loose, and the right like a brick. After considerable effort working the foot, much to everyone’s amazement a very audible crack occurred. Terry’s response also was a very audible orgasmic sigh of relief .The inevitable question, “What was that?” he asked. “An energy block disposed off.” I said. Still lying on the table and showing no signs of wanting to be getting off, he asked:“ What else?” He then informed me that his life had been a bit stressful lately owing to his business expanding to Auckland, so I decided a Vibrational would do him good.
This is taking place in a town called Winton at the bottom end of the South Island of N.Z. Energy work is quite new for most people and just unbelievable for others.
Explaining that I would be working off the body and the only contact would be a finger lightly touching a point just below the navel was accepted - but the look on their faces was one of disbelief. Long story - short, when I made contact with point 8 Terry immediately began flinching. He opened his eyes and asked what was going on. I told him to enjoy the experience and relax, which he did. When I had finished I asked how he felt. His response:
“That was amazing”
“It was incredible”
“I have never experienced anything like that in my life.”
I asked him if he could explain his experience to us.
After a minute of serious contemplation he said:
“Imagine your body is made of thousands of small cotton threads. From your head to your toes, tips of your fingers down the length of your arms. When Kevin touched my body all these threads where drawn to that point and where sucked out. They were pulled from all extremities of my body. The feeling was absolutely unbelievable.”
That afternoon I met Terry at the local rugby clubrooms where he proceeded to expound the benefits of energy work to anyone that would listen. I have never met a better ambassador to promote our work. As a result I had 5 clients to treat on Sunday all expressing a need for a further treatment the next time I am back in the Deep South.
Terry’s last comment that day: “You have changed my life.”
My response “For the better.”
